Please review information for the MPU Communication Arts events with the links on Communication Arts web page. These materials are designed to help you coordinate the MPU event. The evaluation forms for each division and BA800 are also available on the 4-H website.

Please direct 4-H contacts in your MPU to use the MPU Communication Arts County Registration form. Request they return completed forms to you by a date that meets your deadline for arrangements for the MPU Communication Arts contest.

 

We will try to send at least one judge from NDSU to attend your MPU event and assist with judging. That person will bring the MPU box. If we are not able to send a judge, the MPU box will be mailed to you. The MPU Communication Arts box will include purple first place(20) and maroon honorable mention (15) ribbons, list of Communication Arts sponsors, participation gifts (for youth participants only) and letters for teen winners in each division (will include Extension Youth Conference registration information and savings bond application forms).

 

Please send ribbons and gifts that were not used back to the Center for 4-H.

 

Be prepared to provide an orientation for the judges using the enclosed material as your guide. Remember, you will need a camera to take pictures after the event.

 

Hosts need to send the Teen and Preteen Category winner list to the North Dakota Center for 4-H Youth Development following the MPU Communication Arts Event, along with a copy of your program with participants names and categories. We will use the corrected programs from each MPU unit to gather information to communicate with sponsors.

 

Encourage teen category winners who choose to be Extension Youth Conference delegates to send in their registration information during the week following the MPU event. If your event is held after June 1, the registrant or their county office may phone or fax in the registration prior to mailing it.
