Together, Protecting NDSU Extension
Youth Program Participants

Introduction

The NDSU Extension Service Youth Protection Policy was approved as organizational policy by the NDSU Extension Service Administrative Team on June 25, 1992, to be implemented as of April 15, 1993. Review and adaptations were made February, 2000 and November, 2002.

As an adopted policy for the NDSU Extension Service, all staff members in all NDSU Extension offices are required to participate in the process, function within the guidelines of the Youth Protection policy, and ensure that it is implemented in all youth programs.

The policy has been developed and updated in cooperation with NDSU Extension administrators, field staff, specialists, support staff, ND Department of Human Services, NDSU Legal Counsel, and volunteers who work with youth development programs.
