4-H age to 7 – Brad has not officially
heard from Karin Bartoszuk on her recommendation on
effects of youth competition at this age group. Rachelle asked the question,
“Is this an issue
of lack of curriculum or competition?” Karen recommended we get information
from Karin B.
and take her recommendation and leave 4-H age. Brad
to get Karin B. recommendation in
writing and share with committee. Cindy stated she felt that some
youth age 7 are bored and
ready to move to competition. We currently have the Cloverbuds that are age
5-7. Stanna
stated that Pathways and Learnabout curriculum could be used as a resource
for this age group.

meeting with Paul Feyereisen will be held in June. After
legislative session, Paul will share update with POP and Extension
Leadership Team. The

Sturn, Juanita B.
Brad to inform them of meeting time and details.
Dress Code –
If changes are to be made for the next 4-H year
(Sept. 1, 2005) committee
needs to make proposals now. It was determined the County Extension Agents
are responsible
for enforcing (clover cop) of their own counties youth participants at all
judging events. A sample
board needs to be made and displayed at State Fair registration tables
showing good pinned on
chevron vs. bad pinned on chevron, good judging 4-H shirts vs. bad 4-H
judging shirts. Brad and
Stanna to work on examples. Registration materials are to include the new
dress code guidelines.
Brad and Cindy will review the wording of “securely fastened” and share
revised document with
committee for approval. Updated document will then need to be shared with
county staff.

Should 2nd place teams be able
