Targets: The official target used is the OFFICIAL DAISY BB GUN CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH TARGET FIVE METER TARGET. #AR-4/10 (It’s the big target that has the 12 bull's-eyes on them). Counties can use their own targets or contact Al Ulmer, 4-H Outdoor Skills Coordinator, with the number of targets needed. Once a target is shot it cannot be replaced (no second tries). You are on the honor system. Target must be signed by shooter and leader on the back to verify this.

Shooting Distances: No part of a body may be beyond these distances

  • BB-Gun Shooting Distance - 5 meters (16 feet 4 inches)

  • Air Rifle Shooting Distance - 10 meters (32 feet 9 ½ inches)

Scoring  directions: A shot hole, the leading edge of which comes in contact with the outside of the bull’s-eye or scoring rings of a target, is given the value of the higher value scoring ring contacted. If a competitor’s shot fails to hit any target (shots outside the scoring rings), that shot will be scored as a miss (zero). A scoring gauge will be used to determine the value of close shots. The higher ring value will be allowed in those cases where the gauge’s flange touches the scoring ring. Each county is responsible for scoring their own targets and providing a official scoring form of scores with the signatures of the scoring team.

Team Competition: All teams will consist of four members and all four scores count towards the team score.  here are three divisions: BEG, JR and SR. The division is determined by the age of the oldest team member (as of January 1). Team entry fees are $1/team. There is no limit to the number of teams a county may enter.

Awards: A Gold, Silver and Bronze metal will be given to each participant.
