North Dakota 4-H Hall of Fame

The purpose of the North Dakota 4-H Hall of Fame is to honor and preserve the memory of those individuals, clubs, sponsors, leaders and others who have contributed in a very outstanding and positive way to the North Dakota 4-H program.

Nominations are accepted at any time.  However, to be considered for the current year, nominations must be received by the 4-H Foundation by March 1.

Nomination forms are available at the county extension office, or by calling the 4-H Foundation at 701-231-8569.

The North Dakota 4-H Hall of Fame is located on the third floor of the Family Life Center at NDSU. Those inducted into the Hall of Fame are recognized with a plaque in the Hall of Fame, a gift, and a special ceremony during the Extension Youth Conference banquet each June.

     the goals of 4-H.
3.  Tenure - must represent continuing support over many years.
4.  The Partner-in-4-H recognition is not awarded to employees

Applications are due in the fall of the year.  Nominations are reviewed by a committee representing the Extension system and the 4-H Council.

Presentation of the award will be made at a time and place most meaningful to the recipient. Recipients are responsible for their expenses if they need to travel to accept the award.

Bearfield-Bale Memorial Scholarship

The Bearfield-Bale Memorial Scholarship was endowed by Stanley and Hazel Bale in memory of Melvin and Edith Bearfield and the S.W. Bale family.  Earnings from the endowment will provide an annual professional development scholarship and annual 4-H leadership scholarship, alternating between county extension staff and 4-H volunteers.

The 4-H leadership scholarship will provide as much as possible toward the expenses of travel to National 4-H Conference, Citizenship Washington Focus, or 4-H Congress.

Volunteers may be nominated by county staff, or may apply to the state 4-H office.
