The 4-H Pledge
I pledge. . .
my head to clearer thinking,
my heart to greater loyalty,
my hands to larger service,
and my health to better living,
for my club, my community,

my country, and my world.

Why become a 4-H volunteer?  To help kids become

successful, caring citizens of the world! You'll make a

difference in someone's life!

Discover The World Together... be a 4-H Volunteer

Plan now to attend the 2008
North Central Leader's Forum

"Realize, Energize, Visualize, Unlimited Potential " November 6 - 8, 2008

Mid-West Conference Center
in Columbus, OH

  Head
4-H will get you and kids thinking. You'll learn how to think as team members and team leaders. You'll find new ways of looking at issues facing youth today. 4-H members learn to think about the world around them, how they fit into it today and how they can be successful in the future.

Heart
It can be tough being a kid today. To help sort out their thoughts, ideas and emotions, 4-H members talk with their leaders and with each other about the things that are important to them. They listen to ideas, look at different ways to handle problems and often find that others share the same feelings.

  Hands
4-H members do things that are fun and learn skills they will use for the rest of their lives on the job, at home or with friends. 4-H teen and adult leaders work to improve their communities and share their skills and ideas with others. They prepare for the future by learning new skills and taking time to explore careers that interest them.

Health
Being healthy means feeling good; balancing work, school, friends and family; and making the best choices. 4-H'ers learn to make educated choices about exercise, eating and other areas of their lives . . . choices that they will feel good about as adults.
