4-H Volunteer Opportunities
North Dakota 4-H
Volunteer Forums
District or statewide 4-H
Forums are conducted each year. The forums are planned and
conducted by volunteers and staff.
Information on state or district 4-H Forums is mailed to county offices in
the spring.
Talk to your county extension office about attending a
forum. It's a great opportunity to meet other volunteers, share
experiences, and learn about 4-H and youth!
The North Central Region (NCR) 4-H Volunteer
Forum is a three-day forum for teams of 4-H volunteers and staff from 12
states and three Canadian provinces. The Forum is held in a different
state each year, usually in November. Some scholarships are available to
assist in attending the Forum.
The NCR 4-H Volunteer Forum is an opportunity to meet volunteers from all
over the region, share experiences, hear great speakers, and learn about the
4-H program and youth.
Get excited about being a 4-H volunteer! Attend the NCR 4-H Volunteer
Forum!
North Dakota 4-H Hall of Fame
The purpose of the North Dakota 4-H Hall of Fame is to
honor and preserve the memory of those
individuals, clubs, sponsors, leaders and others who
have contributed in a very outstanding and
positive way to the North Dakota 4-H program.
Nominations are accepted at any time. However, to
be considered for the current year,
nominations must be received by the 4-H Foundation by
March 1. Nomination forms are
available at the county extension office, or by calling
the 4-H Foundation at 701-231-8569.
The North Dakota 4-H Hall of Fame is located on the
third floor of the Family Life Center at
NDSU. Those inducted into the Hall of Fame are
recognized with a plaque in the Hall of Fame, a
gift, and a special ceremony during the Extension Youth
Conference banquet each June. |
