Walt Nieland's work area If you can't reach them, bring them down to you. Walt Nieland a wheel chair farmer from Jamestown, ND lowered his work bench and work area to make it more accessible. Walt is part of the AgrAbiliy In Dakota Barn Builders support network and also assists the program in help conduct assessments.


On-site visit On-site visits are a primary service of AgrAbility In Dakota. This enables the staff and the farmer, farm worker and their family members direct involvement with each other as a team toward developing a rehabilitation plan that will eventually help in overcoming obstacles on the farm.


peer support Peer support is a critical component of AgrAbility In Dakota. Sharing, learning and networking among farmers with a disability provides a strong bond and a sense of "I am not alone out there."


farm safety AgrAbility In Dakota promotes farm safety throughout the state at numerous farm and agricultural shows, extension safety seminars and the rural communities.
