The Extension Service is a nation-wide partnership composed of three related and
coordinated agencies: the Federal partner,
Cooperative
State Research, Education and Extension Service of the USDA; the State
partner,
Extension
and Land Grant University; and the County partner, Burleigh County Extension Service.
The Extension office
interacts with local regulatory and advisory groups. The primary
responsibility of these committees, boards, and commissions is to assist in the development and
delivery of programs and services to the residents of Burleigh County.

Burleigh County Commission
The Burleigh County Commission is the
local funding and governing board of the county Extension Service.
Additional partners include NDSU and USDA.

County Advisory Committee
The Burleigh County Extension Advisory Council functions as an advisory
and support capacity; assisting the County Extension staff in identifying
opportunities, problems, and program development.

Multicounty
Program Unit 8 Advisory
Members represent the people in the Multicounty Program Unit 8. The
unit includes Burleigh, Kidder, Emmons, McIntosh and Logan Counties. They
share their ideas regarding the needs of individuals and communities in their
counties and help plan programs to meet those needs.

Burleigh County 4-H
Leader's Council
An advisory group that develops, strengths, correlates, and evaluates the
functions of the 4-H youth programs in the county.
