NURTURING
PROGRAM The Nurturing Parenting Program will be available in Fargo beginning in September 2009. Nurturing is for families with children ages birth through five years. It teaches both parents and children how to handle feelings, communicate needs, be empathetic, take charge of one's own behavior, have fun with others, establish nurturing routines for regular family times such as bed and mealtimes, handle stress and anger and give and receive healthy touch. |

GEARING UP FOR KINDERGARTEN Gearing Up for Kindergarten is a program for four-year-olds who will enter Kindergarten in the fall of 2010. Gearing Up is a school readiness and parent education program that includes eight weekly sessions in the fall, and eight weekly sessions in the winter. Gearing Up will be held at multiple Cass County sites. Come and learn with your child as they explore science and math, develop motor skills and social skills, and experience reading activities in a fun and engaging environment. Now accepting registrations for fall and winter sessions. |

LOVE AND LOGIC
SERIES Love and Logic is a common sense parenting approach that teaches parents skills that can be put to use right away. By using empathy, respect and offering choices, adults can avoid anger, threats, warnings and lectures. Gain ideas that will cultivate confidence and good decision making in children. |

PARENTING PROGRAM Say Yes to No is a newly released parenting curriculum, based on the book by Dr. David Walsh, No, Why Kids of All Ages Need to Hear It and Ways Parents Can Say It. No is not just a one-word answer. It's a parenting strategy. By saying No when you need to, you help put your children on the path to success. Attend and learn practical strategies of No that will help you reinforce character building messages. |
