Public presentations can be a fun and rewarding part of your 4-H experience. The ability to appear before a group and communicate with them is a skill that will be useful throughout your lifetime. There are a variety of opportunities to learn public presentation skills.
Levels of Involvement:
Club: All 4-H members are encouraged to give a public presentation at the club level.
County: Any youth can participate in the Cass County 4-H Speech and Demonstration Contests.
District: Winners from the county contests are eligible to participate in the District Communication Arts Contest in June.
The Communications Arts program is open to any youth involved in extension youth programs. It includes two age divisions:
Preteen – 8-12 years old
Teen – 13-18 years old.
Cloverbuds have an opportunity to participate in non-competitive categories.
