First Jointly Labeled Pesticide Available

The first pesticide to be jointly labeled in the United States and Canada is now available.  Far-Go, a granular herbicide by Gowan, which controls wild oat, and is known as Avadex in Canada, has only one label for the two countries.  The label states the regulations for both counties and contains a statement as to the legality of using only the label for the correct country of application.  This joint labeling makes it legal to buy and transport Far-Go across the international border for use on land in either country.

Corrections to 2007 weed guide

Page 22 of this year’s ND weed guide has been revised.  The page deals with roundup ready corn.  This table should be easier to read and contains some added information to the one that is already in the book.  If you have already picked up your copy of the 2007 ND weed guide, stop in the office and pick up a copy of the corrections.

Crop Budgets for ‘07

The 2007 Crop Budgets are now available as hard copies in the office or on the NDSU website as an excel spreadsheet or pdf file.  http://www.ext.nodak.edu/extpubs/ecguides.htm  Remember when utilizing these budgets that they are meant to be a decision making tool, and not a crystal ball into the future.  Theses Budgets just look at a snap shot in time (December 15th) and there have been many changes in prices since then and will be many more between now and harvest.
