One of the biggest events in
4-H and the one most participate in is the Greater Grand Forks Fair (Grand
Forks County Fair). Held every year in July prior to the North Dakota State Fair, 4-H
members get a chance to earn ribbons and display their 4-H projects that
they have completed over the past year. This five day event showcases our 4-H
program and the youth involved. It is a fun event for all the members and
their families as we showcase as many as 1,000 exhibits (projects) and also
showcase the animals that 4-H members have been working with and grooming
all year long.
Lets not forget that all this hard work
doesnt just go to waste at the end of those five days; because not only do
participating members get premiums for their ribbons, but they may also get
a chance to send their exhibits and compete on a state level at the North Dakota State
Fair. All 4-H 4-H members get a reduced admission at the State Fair.
