Why are family meals so important?

  • Better eating habits
  • Better grades in school
  • Less tobacco, alcohol and marijuana use

 

How to make family meals happen

  • Make them a priority
  • Aim for at least 3-4 family meals per week
  • Be flexible with the time and place of meals (home restaurant, park, car)
  •  

     

    Create a relaxing atmosphere

    • No  TV
    • No phone calls
    • Not a time for discipline
