Howdy!!!!
Christmas is just around the corner and I am not ready.  I know at times we get caught up with every thing and forget about the real meaning of Christmas.  The real problem comes from the commercial part of the meaning.  I have found myself in that predicament.  We have found the present we wanted for our grandson but other things come along and all of a sudden he has 4 presents.  As long as we keep the real meaning of Christmas in our minds and hearts we can still do the present thing too.

I can’t believe it is that time of year already.  I received a note from Terry Gregorie this morning about duties for Round-Up.  Round Up will be begin in 3 weeks and is a great time to learn new and innovative ideas relating to the farming world.  We have added a couple of sessions on Horticulture this year along with the usual Livestock part of the two day extravaganza. 

This past weekend I found myself getting the bug to start ice fishing.  I have been getting my equipment ready and other details and then hear on the radio where folks have fallen through the ice on the Minnesota side.  One life has been lost so please take every precaution when venturing out on the ice.  Ice thicknesses can vary in just a few feet and can be very unpredictable.
