Howdy!!!!
I hope everyone had a relaxing and safe holiday. I know that I did and
thanked the lord that anyone I knew had a very safe holiday season. What a
season it turned out to be!!!! I had a friend that announced his engagement,
enjoyed the great time of year with both of our parents, fished quite a bit, ate
plenty of food and most of all, spent a lot of time with my family. I did get
to pull a big surprise on my mother-in-law, I asked her to make me 4 dozen buns
for a party I was having and later found out the party was for her. I thought
it to be quite funny baking buns for her own party but buns were needed and this
would be something she would always remember, “making buns for her own party.
We celebrated her 75th birthday and the best part of the night was,
she did not have any clue something was happening. You would have thought when
her far away children started showing up that something was up. Great fun by
all. My wife and I also attended a New Years Eve party with our friends from
Edmore. They called it the old fogies party. It was very different attending a
party and being home by 1 pm after driving 45 minutes from Edmore. The girls
told stories in one part of the house and the men reminisced about the old days
in Brocket, Lawton, Southam and Edmore, in another part of the house. It was
great fun talking about the days of high school and college. To finish off the
holiday season, Deb and I had supper with my folks, Christine and sister Linda
and Marvin. Played many games of cards and laughed a lot. I guess what this
all means is that the holiday season is over and time to get to work on the
programming season coming up. We have many educational events coming up but
Roundup is first. Well it is time to get ready for ROUNDUP, so better go.
“HAPPY NEW YEARS TO EVERYONE AND MOST OF ALL HAVE FUN FISHING BUT PLEASE BE SAFE.
