Howdy!!!!
Good Morning, on such a beautiful day!!!!!! The sun is shinning bright today and the temperatures should warm up very nicely preparing everyone for the fishing tournament. The trivia question last week of the location of Derrick (I missed spelled last week) is North West of Edmore on the BN line. The cemetery is the only remaining thing left at Derrick. I can remember many years ago dumping a load of grain at the Derrick Elevator. I also sang for weddings and church gatherings at the Derrick Bethany Free Lutheran church. Even today, occasionally, the weatherman might say there is a storm approaching Derrick. So pay attention, you never know when a storm might be headed your way. Fishing has been very spotty, with some outings being very good and other times being very slow. I know that most of that slowness comes from me as I like trying new different places. Just remember, as you’re out and about on the big lake, be careful and don’t always assume the ice is thick enough for you or your vehicle.
