Howdy!!!!
What a weekend we had.  Except for the rains Sunday evening you could not have asked for a better weekend.  I still have not been out fishing.  I got a lot of yard work done and visited with the ladies at the Safari in Sullys Hill on Saturday.  What a group!!!  They had many questions and hopefully I got them all answered, except one and I will answer that a little later in the article.  I took 15 folks on a water works tour on Sunday to Lundeby Tree farm and what a tour it turned out to be.  Fred was very gracious and offered not only his home for a ”look about” but he also gave us a very informative tour of his tree farm and equipment.  I am not sure but think I took about 50 pictures especially of his water pond and falls.  What a site.  I would highly recommend a visit if a tour is ever organized which includes his home and farm.  We also visited the water ponds of the Plant Ranch.  You talk about different ideas.  Just when I think I have mine figured out, tours like this confuse me more.

Can you use Poast herbicide on Gardens and Rhubarb?????
The answer to this question is yes on most vegetables but there are some limitations.  First off, Poast herbicide is available in commercial containers and also in most nurseries in town.  It would be called something like “grass be gone”.  YOU NEED TO BE SURE OF THE PRODUCT YOU ARE BUYING AS THERE ARE OTHER PRODUCTS AVAILABLE THAT WILL CONTROL GRASSES AS WELL BUT CAN NOT BE APPLIED TO VEGETABLES.  Read the label of the herbicide you are purchasing to make sure it includes vegetables on the label.  Poast does work in the gardens and Rhubarb for control of different grasses.  If you are able to locate some Poast herbicide read the label and “follow the label.  You can apply Poast to Rhubarb according to the label.  There is a 30 day application interval from time of application to harvesting.  There are many vegetables listed on the label but like always extreme care must be taken to apply only to the targeted crops and as always “Read and follow the label directions”.
