Howdy!!!!

What a weekend and day we have had.  I was so busy that I even got this wrote late.  I do not know if it is the age or the cold but this cold sure as affected me.  It must be the joints get a little slower and a nice warm cup of coffee tastes so good.  As I write this today, it is a very pleasant day and nice to be outside.  We are all getting ready for the holiday season and as usual we all need to be reminded of the season, which means calm and collective.  I watch so many people get caught up the holiday spirit and money seems no object.  I have reminded my family, time after time, that it means more to me to get together for a round of laughter than how many presents are under the tree.  I also remind them what the Christmas season means. 

We have many activities coming up this holiday season and New Year.  For reminders Lake Region Extension Roundup is just around the corner.  Activities start Tuesday, January 8 and conclude on Wednesday, Janauary 9^th.  As usual a very good program has been put together to also include a session on Tuesday of “What’s bugging our trees”.  That session will be held in the basement of the Memorial building.  I will finish off that session with pictures of actual horticulture problems within our area.

Well I am not real windy today but do want to wish everyone a very merry and blessed Christmas and New Year.  Treat your friends and neighbors with kindness and thoughtfulness and most importantly have a safe holiday season.  I watch all of this garbage on Television and think this world is really failing.  We really do have a great community so lets take that mile, to make it last.
