Howdy!!!!
Tis’ the season for the New Year!!!! I hope everyone has a wonderful New Year and a safe start to the New Year. Well the New Year always brings many new and exciting happenings to our office and also to you. The year starts off with the Lake Region Round Up January 3rd and 4th. Each day will start with breakfast at 8am. That would be Wednesday and Thursday of this week. There are always many topics to cover and we try very hard to cover the topics that are most in need as does this program this year. We have also expanded into the Horticulture world with a session on trees and shrubs on Wednesday morning along with some hands on activities in the basement of the Memorial building on Thursday. Horticulture activities to include grafting and cobble stone making. The basement has been expanded and is quite big so along with that size we have added additional booth space and exhibitors. We will have our usual free sponsored meals both days along with sponsored coffee breaks. If you have never been to Round Up this would be a great opportunity to stop by and take a visit.
The next big meeting coming up for us will be a Corn seminar. This will be held February 8th and will have many sessions pertaining to corn production. There will also be a sponsored noon meal and coffee breaks. This meeting will be held in the Armory and will start at 9 am.
I do hope everyone had a very fun New Years Eve and day. I know that I did. We met with friends in Grand Forks and spent the night at their house. I am still suffering from the late night hours. Our take on the evening has changed from our past years and now includes games, pop, coffee and Crab Legs about 12:30. It is the fact that we played games until 3:30 in morning that I am suffering from (lack of sleep). I did manage to get back to do a little fishing and caught myself a 30 inch walleye that I do have pictures of. That was sure fun.
