Howdy!!!!
If you are a warm person fan you surely liked this past weekend.  I don’t mind warm but it was sure a cooker.  This brings me to a story of a bad incident on Saturday.  My wife and I drove over to Lakewood to clean fish that I had caught earlier, upon our return home a young couple and family had stopped us for help.  The young man was having heat stroke.  I have never been involved with a situation like that.  My wife was just home from the hospital with orders of no lifting or fast actions so asked her for help on proper procedures with this problem.  We were able to get him under the trees for shade and started cooling him down.  We called 911 for an ambulance.  The ambulance arrived and was parked on the south bound lane and you would not believe how many vehicles “needed to get by to go fishing “, with ambulance lights flashing.  There was barely room for anything much less a boat.  I was never so discouraged in our society at the sight I saw.  A person in need is overlooked for that need to get by to get somewhere.  I hope and pray the young man will be alright and thanks goes to the ambulance for their fast response and to those of you that do not heed to the flashing lights of either an ambulance or a police officer, just remember this could happen to someone you love and could put their life in jepordy.

I have been very busy with many different things including having my wife in the hospital for just short 2 weeks.  I apologize if I have forgot something or have not called back and will make every effort to get this taken care of.

Fungicide application on Wheat or Canola???
I am not one to get you spend your money on an application of any sort unless it is needed but this year is a little different with all the moisture we have been having.  If we look at prices of the middle teens for Canola or $5 plus dollars for wheat it would seem like a no brainer to try to protect the crop from any loss.  We have a lot of inputs in our crops this year, to get it to this point, but a little extra prevention might be helpful and profitable.  There are many good products available to you so visit with your supplier about possible applications of a fungicide.
