Howdy!!!!
I know some will say wait for the rain but the short half inch of rain we received this morning certainly will do lots of good for most of the crops already planted and any gardens that are planted. This morning, about 1 am, our weather monitor went off sounding a weather watch and sent me into the next hemisphere. I am a weather buff but when that dumb thing goes off, in the middle of the night, I end up in another world.
I drove around the county looking at crops and three different yards of damaged spruce trees and things are looking good in general. I was a bit surprised to as much soybeans planted as we did with the prediction of frost in the forecast.
Our family was over last night for mothers’ day and our little monster has found another way to get around and that being walking. He will be a year old on the 3th of June. There is not a corner of house that did not get checked out last night, including the kitchen cabinets. It is fun to watch him grow and learn new things just like the new born animals in the spring or watching the crops sprout through the fresh worked soil reaching for the sky during the spring especially after a fresh smelling rain.
The markets have caused many of us to wonder what has been going on lately with not only the commodities but also the gas we use in our vehicles. I stopped to fill my gas jug that I use to fill my lawn mower last night and about had a heart attack. It was over 17 dollars to fill a 5 gallon jug. What we do to mow our grass.
