Howdy!!!

I don’t know what I did to one of my fingers yesterday but typing really puts a crimp in my typing.  It took me three minutes to type the previous sentence due to errors.  Well, the rain really changed things again.  I thought the dust had settled and let everyone continue on their planting and gardening ventures.  The fields were just starting to get fit to be in although still way too much turning due to pot holes and lakes.  I said this last week and, it is funny, as I have had many other homeowners tell me they could not believe how dry their yards had become especially with all of the water around us.  I did make a earlier very light application of fertilizer to my yard but found myself putting nutrients on my yard Monday morning at 4:30 am.  I know most of you would think that I am a little crazy but then that was something that I always knew.  I thought why would I spend money on watering in my nutrients when the bountiful rain would do the same thing, so the reason for that early encounter, with my nutrient application.  I can already see a difference in my yard.  My garden has begun peaking through the soil as well but so have the weeds.  I will be gone on Friday so will have to tackle the weed problems on Saturday.  My Dewy type rain gauge showed our yard receiving 1.46 inches of rain on Monday.  I have heard many varying amounts of rain in the region but it seems as we move to the northeast of Devils Lake, the amounts get larger and larger. 

This past weekend graduates finally achieved their goal of making a drastic change in their life style.  Whether it be; go to college or decide to join the workplace your future is in your hands.  One thing I will tell you is, to finish your education, in whatever field you choose.  It took me 30 years to finish my education and it is much easier younger than older.  Congratulations to all of you.
