Howdy!!!!!!!
How do you like this Fall weather??????  Refreshing!!!!!!!!  We all knew it was coming but had been spoiled up to last week.  You have to admit though; it isn’t all bad getting out in the cold each morning to start the vehicle, before the drive to work.  I also see ice fisherman are out getting there first thrill of the year.  It makes me very nervous to watch somebody thinking they have to be the first one of the year, out ice fishing.  I do have to admit, I am anxiously waiting my turn at ice fishing.

I would like to thank everyone for their part in the Cattleman’s Night Out last Thursday night.  Jim and Mary Zeigler for their facility, for the good food and also their great hospitality and also to my fellow Extension Agents:  Mark Miller (Rolette County), Ron Beneda (Cavalier County), Terry Lyken (Towner County), Scot Knoke (Benson County), and Nels Petterson (Nelson County) for their great help in cooking and serving the cattle producers from the northeastern part of the state.  I am pretty sure the Rocky Mountain Oysters were the best ever, Thanks to Doug Becker and Preston Langley for the oysters, and also thanks to Pugsley for the bread.  We all need to thank our presenters for the evening as they did a tremendous job: Dr. Clement (North Dakota Veternarian), Dr. Carl Hoppe (NDSU Extension beef specialist) Tim Petry (NDSU Extension livestock economist) and Dr. Charlie Stoltenow (NDSU Extension Veternarian)  And last but not least, THANKS TO CINDY AND BRENDA FOR THEIR HELP MAKING CHILI, BATTER MIX AND ANYTHING ELSE I NEEDED HELP WITH.  We had 83 people attend the educational night and supper.  What a great evening!!!!!!!!!
