Howdy!!!!
What a week this past week has been. We
now have 9 shooting sport volunteers certified and ready to go, we organized a
basic GPS training for the middle of March and we also have pesticide trainings
starting this coming Thursday. With
all of these activities and more coming up we don’t want to forget the
basketball tournaments that are also sneaking up on us.
It is always a fun time of year to see which team makes the state
tournament and one or two favorites that get knocked off on the way to the big
tourney.
Good Luck to all our area teams!!!!
Shooting Sports
classes!!!!!!
We are going to be offering shooting sports disciplines for area youth
starting March 10th. We
will be holding a 6 class session in Rifle discipline and a 4 class session in
Archery. These classes could very
well grow into more class time if the need is there.
The classes will be held in the basement of the Memorial building and the
Armory. We are taking the first 20
youth for the Rifle class and the first 12 for Archery.
We will have 2 classes per night with each class having 10 and 6
respectively. The classes will be from 6-7:30 and from 7:30 - 9 pm.
If you are interested in registering your young women and men in this
class please call the Extension office at 701-662-7027.
You can register for a class in both disciplines if you would like but we
would encourage you to participate in only one discipline.
We also are requesting that at least one parent attend these sessions as
well. There will be a $10 dollar registration fee per individual for each class
they participate in.
Coffee shop talk!!!
Terry Gregoire and I will be holding coffee shop talk in surrounding
communities starting in March. This
will be a great time for you to meet with us and ask any questions you might
have pertaining to farming or any other question you might have.
We will be at the Hampden cafe at 2 pm March 14, Edmore cafe, March 24 at
10 am, Lake Region Grain (Starkweather) March 24 at 1 pm and Tronson Grain (Doyon)
March 28, 9 am. Hope to see you there.
Pesticide
trainings!!!!
We have 4 pesticide trainings coming up in the next month.
If you area needing to get recertified for the next three years this is
your opportunity to get trained. The
calendar below will list the dates and places of training.
Call the Extension office at 701-662-7027 to get registered for the
trainings.
GPS Training
We will be holding basic GPS training here in the Armory March 15.
There have been many requests of having such a training that we were able
to organize such an event. The
training will start at 7 pm and should last about 2 hours.
There is a $5 dollar registration fee and the class is limited to 25
people. This will be a great
opportunity to learn how your GPS works and what it can do for you.
To register call the Extension office at 701-662-7027.
I must apologize on one date in last week’s calendar. THE COFFEE SHOP FOR EDMORE IS NOT MARCH 21 BUT SHOULD BE STATED MARCH 24.
