Howdy!!!!!

Are we froze up yet? As I drove to work this morning, I couldn’t help but wonder, how wild animals survive as well as they do? I do not know how cold the wind chill was yesterday but “it was down right cold” and this morning it was raining. One might think that animals would be sick most of the time with huge fluctuations in temperatures like we have had. I remember a year (don’t remember what year) the temperature never reached above zero for many days in a row. As I remember the temperature never got above –10 below for like 34-40 days. Well what ever the case, I “like” the warmer day, except for the rain.

Shooting Sports Certification%%%%%%
We will be holding shooting sports certification class this weekend and have had a very good response to the classes being offered. Upon completion of this training I will meet with the specific discipline volunteers and determine a class schedule for youth to participate in. These classes will be offered when it is convenient for the volunteers to teach the classes. SO BE WATCHING FOR TRAINING COMING UP IN THE NEAR FUTURE FOR YOUTH TO PARTICIPATE IN EITHER ARCHERY OR RIFLE TRAINING.

Horticulture Workshop!!!!!!
We have put together literature pertaining to the horticulture workshop we will be holding this April. We have planned 4 full evenings for the lawn and garden minded community of the Lake Region. We are already receiving registrations for the class. For more information of the horticulture class call the Extension Office at 701-662-7027.
