4-H Council Meeting

A 4-H County Council Meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday, September 30 at 7:00 pm.  The meeting will be at the Stark-Billings Extension Office and is open to all members, leaders, and parents.  If you have anything to put on the agenda, please contact the extension office.



4-H Youth Rodeo

There will be an open MVFA/4-H Youth Rodeo in Bismarck on October 3 starting at 9:30 a.m. CT.  If you are interested in participating please call 701-400-2263.  Registration is required by September 29.



4-H National Youth Science Day

4-H National Youth Science Day is October 7. With your help Biofuel Blast, the National  Science Experiment, will introduce youth all across North Dakota to biofuels as an alternative energy source and help them understand and engage in the important environmental issues facing our world. Local Scholarship Winner

Erin Krebs of Belfield was named the winner of a $100 William Bloom Scholarship. Congratulations Erin!

North Dakota 4-H Volunteer Project Training in Beulah

Please mark your calendars to attend the volunteer training scheduled this fall in Beulah on November 17. Training is held from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Beulah Community Center. 

There will be 4-H project related workshops based on feedback from the host countys 4-H leader input. Some of these workshops will include horticulture and floral arranging, 4-H animal projects, outdoor skills, photography, 4- H leadership opportunities, citizenship & service learning, communication arts etc.

The registration cost for the training will be $3 per person. This training is sponsored by a grant from Monsanto and National 4-H Council. For more information contact Samantha.


Tri-State Meat Goat Conference

Enjoy three days of learning about meat goats, visit with vendors, and meet and socialize with other meat goat enthusiasts!  The conference is  held in Fargo on September 25-27 at NDSU.  See registration information.



Ambassador Selections

The North Dakota 4-H Ambassadors will be holding Selections on January 16 at the Morton County Courthouse in Mandan. Applicants must be between the age of 16 and 22 and be interested in making a commitment to the 4-H program. See 4-H ambassadors for a fillable application form and more information. applications are due December 15, 2009, to the Center for 4-H Youth Development.
