4-H Thank You Basket Ideas

Updated February 19, 2008

What is a Thank You Basket?

Thank you baskets are given to supporters of the Stark-Billings County 4-H Program each year -- organizations, businesses and individuals -- who have given of their time, talent and/or treasure to assist the program.

4-H members and clubs are encouraged to donate articles made in 4-H such as those in the Handmade Articles list below. If this is not possible or appropriate, check out the list of Purchased Articles or Food Items for ideas, or come up with ideas of your own!

Thank you baskets start with a small or medium wicker basket. A tissue paper, towel or fabric lining is added. Each basket is filled with a variety of articles donated by 4-H clubs, individual 4-H members and others.

In the day or two following the Spring 4-H Council Meeting, these thank you baskets are delivered to 4-H supporters including a note card expressing appreciation to them for their gift to the Stark-Billings County 4-H Program.

Seven baskets will be given to friends of 4-H in 2008. 4-H clubs interested in donating items to the baskets should deliver them to the county extension office no later than April 21, 2008. Your help is sincerely appreciated!
