Western 4-H Camp Not Just for 4-H Members

Parents, are you looking at summer 2008 camping options for your children? Why not consider the Western 4-H camp, located just a few miles from Washburn, North Dakota. Some parents think that the Western 4-H Camp program is open just to 4-H members, but the camping program is are open to all youth ages 5 to 18. There are several different camps offered in 2008, ranging from technology to learning basic outdoor skills.

The camps and dates are:

	Livestock Camp, June 1-5
	Tractor Safety Camp, June 1-5
	Survivor Outdoor Recreation Camp - The Ultimate Challenge, June 8-12
	Kids in Action Camp, June 15-19
	World of Wonder Camp, June 22-25
	Barrel and Pole Horse Camp, June 22-25
	Military Youth Camps, June 28-July 2
	Trail Riding Horse Camp, July 6-9
	Lights, Camera, Action Camp, July 6-10
	Clover Camp (first- and second-graders), July 11-12
	Beginning Outdoor Skills Camp, July 13-17

There are "sibling discounts" available for families who have more than one child from the same household attending camp. The youth do not have to attend the same camp to receive the discount.

Western 4-H Camp is an opportunity for your child to be in a safe environment where they can make new friends and develop new skills while enjoying the beauty of the cottonwoods along the Missouri River. Camp staff members are trained in nature, crafts, recreation, first aid, human development and working with youth to ensure a high-quality experience for all youth campers.

Facilities at the camp include a main lodge for dining and group activities and three sleeping cabins. Each cabin has its own bathroom and shower facilities.

Western 4-H camp is a place for kids ages 5 through 18 to have fun while discovering themselves and their surroundings.
