Gardeners Wanted for University Project

Would you like to test some special vegetables for free?

North Dakota State University is looking for 200 families to test promising radish, spinach and other greens from across the world. The radish varieties come in an array of colors ranging from red, purple and white. There is even a watermelon radish that has pink flesh inside!

The University is testing the most popular greens from Asia. These greens come in many interesting shapes and colors. They taste mild and are popular when mixed in salads or lightly cooked as stir fries.

These tests are perfect for kids. Most of the test can be completed within 30 days. Its a fast and easy way to introduce science to children.

Seed supplies are limited. Each household is limited to no more than two trials. But to encourage more kids to get involved, we have received special funds to provide a free trial to any child who agrees to take responsibility for their trial. So a household with two children can participate in up to four trials.

To learn more about this fun project, see Dakota Gardener. If you dont have access to a computer, please contact NDSU Educator Dr. Tom Kalb at (701)221-6865 for a brochure. Seed orders accepted now.
