Family Nutrition Program |
FNP is a partnership between the Department of Human Services and the NDSU Extension Service in an effort to provide nutrition education to families and individuals participating in the Food Stamp Program. FNP targets food stamp program participants; disseminates educational education information through public service announcements, basic food and nutrition demonstrations, newsletters, fact sheets, individual consultations, and group educational displays. Nutrition education agents teach basic nutrition, menu planning, food safety, and food purchasing information. This program helps in gaining new skills to improve health and well being.
