Questions on: Ninebark Ron Smith, Horticulturist, NDSU Extension Service |
Q. I hope you can identify the disease attacking my ninebark hedge and what to do to control it. I would appreciate a fast reply. Thank you. (Carrington, N.D.)
A. I try to give everyone as quick a response as possible.
Since I could not find any vascular streaking in the sample you sent, my next best guess is a fungal mold known as Ramalaria, brought on by rainy or highly humid conditions. Try preventative sprays with Bordeaux mixture.
