NDSU Dairy Cow Colleges Set for Linton, Dickinson, New Salem, Velva, Jamestown

Programs on Johnes disease and by-product feeds will be highlights of Dairy Cow Colleges scheduled by the North Dakota State University Extension Service for the first week of February.

The educational programs will be held at the Emmons County Courthouse in Linton on Feb. 2, the Knights of Columbus Hall at 1531 West Villard in Dickinson on Feb. 3, the New Salem City Auditorium on Feb. 4, the Oak Valley Lutheran Church in Velva on Feb. 5 and the Dakota Inn in Jamestown on Feb. 6.

The New Salem program begins at 10 a.m. (Mountain Time), and all other programs begin at 10:30 a.m. (Central Time). Coffee and registration begin a half hour before each program.

The program will include American Dairy Association Promotion highlights and ADA district elections. Educational sessions will focus on Johnes disease, alternative feeds, the veterinarian's role in herd health and biosecurity. Speakers include NDSU Extension Service veterinarian Charlie Stoltenow and dairy specialist J.W. Schroeder.
