1998 Extension Youth Conference Open to All Youth Ages 13-19

The 86th Annual Extension Youth Conference will be held Monday through Thursday, June 15 through 18, at the North Dakota State University campus in Fargo. This year's theme is "Dare Mighty Things."

Extension Youth Conference provides an educational, fun-filled experience for young people, ages 13 to 19. Delegates build life skills, interact and learn with other youth while they are having fun. The event is planned and conducted by the North Dakota 4-H Ambassadors, a group of youth ages 16 to 22, and the NDSU Extension Service.

"As this year's theme indicates, we'll be challenging the creativity of the 200 young people we're expecting," says Geri Bosch, 4-H youth development specialist at NDSU. "Besides learning more about themselves and others, the youth who attend this year's Extension Youth Conference can participate in volunteer activities and have some fun too. There'll be plenty of opportunities for recreation. Youth will attend a barbecue and a Redhawks baseball game. The week is capped off with a semi-formal banquet."

Registration fee for this year's conference is $100, which includes lodging, meals and all activities. Bus transportation is available to Fargo for an additional $5 to $25, depending upon mileage. The registration deadline is Friday, May 15. To receive additional information or to register, contact Bosch at (701) 231-7251.
