Last year North Dakota farmers suffered a shortfall of $394 million due to weather and prices. A breakdown of where those losses occurred, plus information on average net farm income in North Dakota since 1989, and costs of production for wheat and barley since 1989, are available in a publication available from the department of agricultural economics at North Dakota State University.
