Canola Day Set at Minot Center

North Dakota State University's North Central Research Extension Center at Minot will host a canola tour starting at 9 a.m. Wednesday, June 30, according to Kent McKay, area extension agronomist at the center.

Topics covered will include dormant seeding, seeding rates, effects of late planting, flea beetle seed treatment and insecticide trials, herbicide tolerant canola types and weed control performance, and swathing and harvesting canola. The center also has a number of herbicide trials comparing Roundup Ready, Liberty Link and IMI canola to traditional types.

A sponsored lunch will be provided following the tour.
