Carrington Field Day Set For July 13
Tours featuring research and information on crop and livestock production will be the focus of the annual field day at North Dakota State University's Carrington Research Extension Center July 13.
Morning tours starting at 9:30 a.m. will highlight cereal grain and broadleaf crop varieties and production, crop pest management, and beef production research and livestock management.
Afternoon tours running from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. will again feature crop varieties and production and crop pest management, plus a tour of crop fertility and production systems research.
Also available for review will be a demonstration of spray drift management, an exhibit of 60 different weed species and a tree arboretum.
Refreshments and lunch will be provided by Carrington and New Rockford area businesses.
