NDSU Schedules Beef Quality Assurance Training Sessions

A series of training sessions have been scheduled for North Dakota beef producers who want to receive certification in the North Dakota Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) program.

Producers who want their calves to receive beef quality assurance certification next year must receive training by the end of the year, according to Lisa Lee, beef quality associate with the North Dakota State University Extension Service.

The sessions will include information on management and herd health techniques that improve beef quality. Emphasis will be given to minimizing damage to beef cuts by giving injections ahead of the front shoulder. The fee for the training sessions is $15.
