NDSU Schedules Tractor Safety Schools

A series of tractor safety schools will be offered across North Dakota in June to help young drivers get a safer start in operating tractors.

The three-day schools, sponsored by the North Dakota State University Extension Service, include classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction. They are intended for youth between the ages of 14 and 16. Younger students may attend. Students 14 years of age or older who complete the course will receive a U.S. Department of Labor Certificate of Training. The certificate permits a minor younger than 16 to drive a tractor and operate identified farm machinery for hire. For more information or to register for the course, contact oneof the county offices of the NDSU Extension Service.

The tractor safety schools will meet from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the following dates and locations.
