Advanced Crop Advisers Workshop Set for Feb. 22-23 in FargoThe ninth annual Advanced Crop Advisers Workshop is scheduled for February 22 and 23 at the Memorial Union on the North Dakota State University campus in Fargo. The event is organized and conducted by the NDSU and Minnesota Extension Services. This workshop is designed for agricultural professionals who advise farmers with crop production recommendations. Topics to be covered during the two days of educational sessions include: nuts and bolts of biotechnology; commodity marketing and crop insurance insights; agriculture’s potential role in reducing greenhouse gases; managing crop diseases under overwhelming environmental conditions; developing genetically engineered crops to tackle crop production challenges in our region; and weed control, resistance, and shifts. Eight continuing education units for the Certified Crop Advisers (CCA) program will be available to workshop participants. Preregistration is required and workshop enrollment is limited. The registration fee of $125 is due by February 12.
