4-H Members Show What They Know at the 2001 State Fair

The following 4-H members participated in 4-H state fair contests, held July 23-25 at the North Dakota State Fair in Minot. The following participants were involved in at least one of the following events.

Project Expo: An educational table is set up by the 4-H'er, and he/she is asked questions about his/her topic.

Clothing Revue: Members model an outfit they've sewn or purchase after being judged.

Consumer Choices: Teams of 3-5 people from each county evaluate products separately.  The participants must then state reasons for decisions on three of the classes to the judge. The results are then tabulated for individuals and teams. This year, contestants judged healthy snacks, snowboards and watches.

Participants and teams who received Awards of Excellence or placed in the top rank are listed here by county, name, showcase event and award.

4-H is the youth education program of the NDSU Extension Service and is conducted by volunteer leaders. For more information, contact your county office of the NDSU Extension Service.
