The following 4-H members won awards in the horse show at the North Dakota State Fair in Minot, July 23-25. The 4-H Horsemanship events include the Western events of Showmanship at Halter, Western Horsemanship, Trail Class, Western Riding, and Reining; the timed events of Pole Bending and Barrel Racing; and the English events of Hunt Seat Equitation, Hunter Hack, Equitation Over Fences and Green Working Hunter.
Classes are typically divided by age for 8- to 10-year-olds, 11- to
14-year-olds and 15- to 18-year-olds.
