Retirement Reception Set for Richard Frohberg, Long-time NDSU Wheat BreederAn open retirement reception for Richard Frohberg, North Dakota State University professor of plant sciences, will be held on Friday, April 5 at 3 p.m. in the atrium of Loftsgard Hall on the NDSU Campus. Frohberg began his career in 1964 and is only the third hard red spring wheat breeder in NDSU’s history. During his career he developed 21 hard red spring wheat cultivars, one hard white spring wheat cultivar and collaborated with his predecessor on three additional hard red spring wheat varieties.
