Grafton Named Experiment Station Director (6/21/02) Kenneth Grafton is currently the project leader for the dry edible bean breeding-genetics project, which is developing improved cultivars of pinto, navy and other market classes of dry bean for production in the northern Great Plains. Grazing Management Can Reduce Grasshopper Problems (6/20/02) Periodic grasshopper outbreaks in the Northern Plains tend to be associated with drought conditions and heavy grazing on native rangeland and domesticated grasslands, notes range scientist Lee Manske.
