4-H Members Win Livestock Awards at the 2002 North Dakota State Fair

The following 4-H members won champion, reserve champion or lot champion awards in the 4-H swine, beef, dairy, sheep and goat classes at the North Dakota State Fair in Minot, July 20-22.

Exhibitors in the showmanship classes were evaluated on how well they presented their animals to the judges. Presentation includes cleaning, grooming, handling and showing the animals to their best potential. The top showmen in each species competed in a round-robin livestock showmanship contest where they were judged on how well they could show other 4-H members’ animals.
