Executive Training Program Scheduled

The Quentin Burdick Center for Cooperatives at North Dakota State University is sponsoring "Roles and Responsibilities of the Cooperative Audit Committee and the Board," an executive training program for directors of cooperatives.

The program will be held on Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 16-17 at the Arrowwood Hotel in Alexandria, Minn. The agenda includes review of legal responsibilities of the board and the audit committee, selection and functions of the auditor, determining the scope of the audit, knowing what questions to ask your auditor, implications of the Sarvanes-Oxley Bill and differences between audit and fraud investigation.

The fee for the program is $250 for the first three persons from a cooperative and $200 for each additional person. The fee includes all meals, coffee breaks, and materials, excluding lodging. To make lodging accommodations contact the Arrowwood Resort at (866) 386-5263 or fax at (320) 762-0133.
