Soybean Field Tour at Carrington on Sept. 11

North Dakota State University, the North Dakota Soybean Council, and the North Dakota Soybean Growers Association will host a soybean research field tour on Thursday, Sept. 11, at the NDSU Carrington Research Extension Center.

Soybean growers, industry representatives, crop advisers and others are invited to attend the event for updates on soybean production research and recommendations. The tour begins at 5 p.m. and ends with a sponsored meal.

Tour participants will be able to view research trials and hear discussions by NDSU agronomists and crop specialists on soybean varieties, seed inoculation and plant nutrition, stand establishment, rolling soybean ground, and aphid and disease management.

NDSU speakers include Ted Helms, soybean breeder; Duane Berglund, extension agronomist; Bob Henson, research agronomist; Greg Endres, extension area agronomist; Phil Glogoza, extension entomologist; and Berlin Nelson and Carl Bradley, plant pathologists.

The Carrington Research Extension Center is located 3.5 miles north of Carrington on Highway 281.
