N.D. Lamb and Wool Producers Annual Convention Set for Dec. 5-6 in MandanThe N.D. Lamb and Wool Producers Annual Convention will be held at the Seven Seas Motel in Mandan Friday, Dec. 5, and Saturday, Dec. 6. Presentations on topics including confined animal feeding regulations, what’s right with American agriculture and a look ahead at market influences will be highlights of the weekend. The convention will begin on Friday at 7 p.m. with NDSU sheep research reports from the Fargo and Hettinger units. A fundraiser auction will also be held. On Saturday, registration will begin at 8 a.m. and the convention will end at 4:15 p.m. Included in the day will be talks on activities of the American Sheep Institute, the National Wildlife Service and the American Lamb Board. A previous Master Sheep Producer will offer advice, and specialists will discuss the economics of $1.20 feeder lambs. The noon luncheon will feature the presentation of the Master Sheep Producer winner, the Distinguished Service Award Recipient and the Make It Yourself With Wool Style Show. Registration at the door for couples is $40 and $25 for singles. The fee includes Friday night activities and food and the luncheon and breaks on Saturday.
