North Dakota Dairy Cow College Scheduled

The 11 Annual North Dakota Dairy Cow College will be held at sites across the state Feb. 3-6. No pre-registration is required. Programs are scheduled for:

  • Tuesday, Feb. 3 at 11:30 a.m. in Bismarck at the Doublewood Inn.
  • Wednesday, Feb. 4 at 11 a.m. in Dickinson at the Knights of Columbus.
  • Thursday, Feb.5 at 11 a.m. in Minot at the Holiday Inn.
  • Friday, Feb.6 at 11 a.m. in Jamestown at the Eagles Club.

Featured speakers for the event include Nathan Reding, senior Matrix advisor and manager of Stewart-Peterson’s Matrix and J.W. Schroeder, NDSU extension dairy specialist.

The program is a shared effort of the Midwest Dairy Association and the North Dakota State University Extension Service. The college will start with an ADA district meeting with educational sessions to follow. This years event will focus on marketing. Topics include historical milk prices, risk tolerance assessment, managing risk, finding a market advisory service and dairy coalition strategy plan.
