The Ranch Hand Available Free By E-mail

The Ranch Hand newsletter, distributed by the North Dakota State University Department of Animal and Range Sciences, is now available by e-mail to anyone with an interest in the beef cattle industry, according to Greg Lardy, editor.

Lardy is a beef cattle specialist for the NDSU Extension Service and is responsible for compiling and editing The Ranch Hand. The publication is a monthly newsletter that deals with beef cattle production issues in the Northern Plains. Management, nutrition, herd health and economics are just a few of the areas covered in the newsletter.

Electronic subscriptions to The Ranch Hand are available to anyone in the region with an interest in the beef cattle industry. Current subscribers include Extension personnel, ranchers, feedlot operators, veterinarians, allied industry personnel and government officials.

To receive The Ranch Hand free via e-mail, send Lardy a message at glardy@ndsuext.nodak.edu. The message should contain an e-mail address and mailing address (for verification purposes).

For additional information, contact Lardy at (701) 231-7660 or glardy@ndsuext.nodak.edu.
